Why we're asking:
When you Bridge with us for one day...
- A boy and his mother met a potential mentor
- Two masters-level counselors provided individual, family and play therapy sessions
all day and into the evening
- A local merchant donated new clothing for moms and children
- A parent walked out with canned goods, a gas card and diapers to help with her budget
- The clinical director took calls from a school counselor asking about local resources available for a distressed child in his office
- Referrals were made for furniture, a gymnastic scholarship, a washing machine,
and the next available AA meeting
- The founder met with local leaders about ways to teach positive parenting and communication
- Our office manager talked with a distressed parent who walked in from the street
- A meeting was held to plan a community-wide resource event
- A little one was invited to select a book on our shelves to take home
- The mentoring moms collaborative met with a woman who wanted to be a
friend to a young single mother with children |
