The Bridge Builders Mentoring Program:
We have grown over the past two years in developing our program and its policies. We have learned how to effectively run a mentoring ministry, including an effective structure to create safety in an outreach that is seen by many as risky. We are finding that mentoring effectively addresses goals that in some cases have not been successfully addressed by the school, counseling, the family, or in the church congregation.
Key components:
* life-long mentoring matches
* a focus on evangelism and discipleship
* offering safety in the BBC monitoring and accountability of
relationships
* building trust with the community and the families we work with by
thoroughly screening the applicants, training, then matching and
monitoring them in a Christ-centered environment.

The Mentoring Relationship:
We invite you to take a closer look at our Mentoring Program. We desire to raise the overall consciousness of our community in its care of one-parent families, and where needs exist, to directly assist financially-challenged parents to raise healthy and responsible children. Our mentoring program is a vital part of that mission.
Men Mentoring Boys:
Our goal is to provide every boy in our counseling program with a mentor who will continue as a support to the child and his parent. Boys need the nurturing that a healthy relationship with Dad can provide. When that relationship is broken or non-existent, we seek to develop mentoring relationships between men of integrity and boys who need guidance to become responsible young adults. Both mentors and those being mentored agree to abide by our strict guidelines.
