Adding NTS as a User to Your Network Solutions Account

Why Add NTS as a User Instead of Sharing Passwords

Adding NTS as a user lets our team manage domains, DNS records, and related products in your Network Solutions account without ever knowing your password.

You keep full ownership of the account and can revoke access at any time, while still giving our engineers the rights they need to support your environment.

Using the built-in user management feature also creates a clear audit trail inside Network Solutions so you can see which changes were made by NTS.

What We're Requesting

We are requesting Tech-level access for the following capabilities:

•Manage/renew products and services
•Configure DNS settings and domain management
•Troubleshoot domain and hosting issues

Note: Tech access does not grant the ability to update Primary account details or WHOIS Registrant information. For broader access including renewals and billing tasks, choose the Admin role instead.

Information to Enter When Adding NTS

When you reach the Add User screen, enter the following details:

•Name: NTS Support
•Role: Tech (recommended) or Admin if you need NTS to assist with billing tasks

Step-by-Step Instructions

1.Sign in to Network Solutions
Go to https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login and sign in with your primary credentials.
2.Open the Account Menu
After signing in, click on your name or profile icon in the top right corner to open the account menu.
3.Select "Accounts & Users"
In the menu, choose Accounts & Users (sometimes labeled Users & Roles).
4.Choose the Correct Account
If you have more than one account or product, select the one tied to the domain you want NTS to manage, then click Manage.
5.Find the User Roles & Permissions Section
On the account page, scroll down to the User Roles & Permissions area.
6.Add a New User
Click the + Add User button.
7.Enter NTS Details
Fill in the following information:
•Name: NTS Support
8.Choose a Role
Select the Tech role for typical DNS and domain management tasks. Tech gives access to manage and renew products and services.
If NTS needs broader access including renewals and billing tasks, select the Admin role instead (Admin gives total access to the account except updating Primary & WHOIS Registrant info).
9.Send the Invitation
Click Invite to send the invitation. NTS will receive an email notification and accept the invitation to begin assisting you.

Important Notes

•You maintain full control and can revoke access at any time
•Adding a user does not give NTS access to your Network Solutions password
•We can only access the specific areas allowed by the role you assign
•All actions we take will be logged and visible in your account history
